PEP-PAC has been at the forefront on the
importance of physicians leading in-person
emergency care. HB 2265 passed the House
Health Committee in March 2026 but faces steep
opposition. We need to keep fighting.
Insurers are constantly trying to reduce
reimbursement by downcoding or denying
claims and reducing coverage. We cannot
allow this to keep happening.
Nurse Practitioner’s continue to fight for
independent practice. We cannot allow this
to happen.
Nursing Unions continue to lobby with big
money to mandate strict inpatient nurse
ratios, which would severely exacerbate our
throughput and ED Boarding issues.
We cannot allow this to happen.
PEP-PAC is proudly and refreshingly non-
partisan, making contributions to Democrats
and Republicans. In 2025, PEP-PAC’s efforts
paid off. We were instrumental in securing
language to expand the list of unused portions
of medications that can be sent home with a
patient upon discharge. That’s a Big Win.
PEP-PAC has ensured that the voices of
emergency physicians are heard in discussions
around artificial intelligence in healthcare.
That’s a Big Win.
PEP-PAC is the political action arm of PACEP.
PEP-PAC uses funds to share our expertise with
lawmakers about the issues affecting Emergency
Medicine. We rely on your contributions.
Your contributions matter. We work 24/7 for our patients;
now we are humbly requesting your financial support to
enable PEP-PAC to advocate for what we need to fulfill
our mission and advance our specialty.
Even better, make a recurring donation to support PEP-
PAC throughout the year. The recommended contribution
