CALL FOR  
The Pennsylvania College of Emergency 
Physicians (PACEP) Education 
Committee is accepting submissions 
for speakers and sessions for our 2027 
Scientific Assembly!  The conference 
will be held at Kalahari Resorts & 
Convention Center, Pocono Manor from 
May 6-8, 2027.
This year’s theme is “The Future of EM 
is Now: Leading Change, Advancing 
Care”. Think of all that has recently 
changed: increased use of nerve blocks 
and ultrasound, ED observation units 
and ED holds, the integration of AI into 
ED workflows, changes to billing and 
reimbursement and how to advocate 
for our specialty, changes in residency 
training requirements and board 
certification, emerging diseases and 
management of medical conditions, 
plus so much more! The future is 
here and PACEP is here to provide a 
community where together, we will 
learn, grow and thrive.
Like years past, we aim to create a 
program that resonates with all EM 
physicians and provide a welcoming 
environment to gather in fellowship to 
catch-up, network and recharge.  We 
are looking to provide thirty 30-minute 
lectures. All ideas are welcome and 
multiple proposals may be submitted.  
Past applicants and presenters are 
encouraged to apply, with preference 
given to members of PACEP.  This is also 
a great opportunity to earn scholarly 
activity and gain exposure so share this 
information with your colleagues!  
Submit your session idea(s) today – 
the deadline is September 15, 2026.  
Potential speakers will be notified by the 
PACEP27 Scientific Assembly Program 
Chairs, Chelsea Kon, DO and Jennifer 
Spinozzi, MD by October 15, 2026.
NOTE: While we cannot cover honorarium or 
travel expenses for your session, we do offer 
complimentary registration to attend the 
Scientific Assembly.
What we're looking for:
Passionate, confident and 
engaging speakers. Know 
someone who you think would 
make a great speaker? Invite them 
to submit a proposal!
Sessions that run the gamut from 
teaching the fundamentals of 
emergency medicine to advanced 
subject areas.  Attendees are at 
various stages in their careers, so 
a broad spectrum of sessions are 
needed. 
What we're not looking for:
Promotional or sales-driven 
sessions for products or services.
