ACEP Board Updates Chadd K. Kraus, DO, DrPH, CPE, FACEP ACEP Board Chair, PACEP Past President PACEP Colleagues, I’m excited to share some updates from the ACEP Board of Directors and the College with you. Highlights from June 2026 ACEP Board Meeting The ACEP Board of Directors met at ACEP Headquarters on June 24 and 25, 2026. Some highlights from that meeting include: • Reimbursement Advocacy as a Key Priority: The Board affirmed reimbursement advocacy as a top priority for the next several years, emphasizing the need to protect the dispute-resolution process and accurate data reporting, build a sustainable funding structure, and invest in member education about reimbursement and the value ACEP brings to all emergency physicians. • Refreshing ACEP Communications: Associate Executive Director of Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations Robert Johnson previewed a refreshed ACEP communications strategy featuring streamlined newsletters, stronger social media presence, and a new audio and podcast network, as well as the opportunity to engage members with new digital content. • Additional Board actions: — Approved Public Policy Grant Requests from the CA, NY, and PA Chapters — Approved 2026 Emergency Physician salary benefits survey for distribution to member and non-member emergency physicians — Approved Emergency medicine measures for CMS for the 2027 MIPS program — Approved Accreditation criteria for observation units 14 PACEP News
