Senator Brooks amended Senate Bill 1372 Printer’s 
Number 1865 to include a version of PACEP CO 
monitor legislation. The amendment and SB 1372 
passed the Senator 50-0. The bill was referred 
to the House Children and Youth Committee 
on July 1, 2026. This committee is chaired by 
Representative Jeanne McNeill, the author of 
the House version of PACEP’s legislation. We 
anticipate she will move the bill when the House 
reconvenes in the fall. 
PACEP thanks Senators Brooks and Fontana for 
their efforts to enact this important legislation.

PACEP is excited to host our annual EMpact Dinner on 
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 in Harrisburg.  This is a great 
opportunity for PACEP members to engage directly with 
lawmakers on issues important to you, your patients and 
emergency medicine in the Commonwealth.  We are also 
trying to line up some select legislative visits earlier in the 
day and will share information as it comes together.
